Plunder Hell, Populate Heaven: Partner With Daniel & Katie Ziedins
Somebody has to go. Somebody has to send. This is the story of the frontline your business can fund — and the invitation to stand with it.
Frontlines · By Daniel Ziedins · · 5 minute read

There is a battle cry the evangelist Reinhard Bonnke made famous across a continent: plunder hell, populate heaven. It sounds militant because it is. It describes exactly what Jesus came to do — and exactly what the profit from a Kingdom business is for.
Jesus explained His own mission with a picture of a break-in. You cannot carry off a strong man's possessions until you first tie him up. At the cross the strong man was bound. Every person who comes to faith since is a life carried out of his house, alive.
In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man's house.
Mark 3:27
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.
Colossians 1:13
Somebody has to go. Somebody has to send.
Paul lays out a chain that every Christian business owner should sit with for a moment. Before anyone calls on the Lord, they have to believe. Before they believe, they have to hear. Before they hear, someone has to preach. And before anyone preaches, someone has to be sent.
How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'
Romans 10:14–15
Sending costs something. Most of us in the marketplace will never stand on a street corner every week. But we can make sure the people who do are not standing there alone — and not standing there broke.
That is what Scripture calls partnership in the Gospel. Paul thanked the Philippian church for exactly this: a congregation that kept sending support so the work could keep going. Their giving made them co-labourers in every life Paul reached.
I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
Philippians 1:4–5
Meet Daniel & Katie Ziedins

The founder of the Lions Den Alliance does not only write about frontline evangelism. With his wife Katie, Daniel has lived it for more than twelve years.
In 2014 they launched Love on Hamilton — born, in Daniel's words, out of "a deep desire to share the transformative gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone we meet, while also offering practical love and care to our city's homeless community."
What began as a small outreach became a movement: more than fifty people now come together every week to evangelize in Hamilton, Ontario. Love on The World grew out of it, carrying the same mission into other cities. In 2022 they launched Overflow, a Sunday evening service where, as Daniel puts it, the Holy Spirit was given full permission to move. And every year they gather the city for the Jesus Festival in Hamilton, where thousands come to worship and hear the Gospel.

They have seen fruit only God produces. Daniel describes lives healed, chains of addiction broken, people delivered, and salvations and baptisms as regular testimonies of His grace — "To God be all the glory!"
Equip. Evangelize. Establish.
Daniel & Katie serve in partnership with e3 Canada — in Daniel's words, "an amazing organization dedicated to equipping believers to evangelize and establish multiplying, life-changing churches around the world." Their ministry runs in collaboration with e3 Canada and I Am Second.
e3's own three words describe the shape of the work: equip, evangelize, establish. The aim was never a bigger crowd around two people. It is ordinary believers trained, sent, and gathered into churches that keep reproducing long after the first conversation.
Their newest mission says it plainly: help establish one hundred multiplying outreach groups — anywhere and everywhere around the world. Ordinary believers, equipped and sent to bring the Gospel and practical love into their own communities.
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
Luke 10:2
Notice Jesus' answer to a shortage of workers. Not a bigger stage — more sent ones. A hundred groups that each reproduce is how a city is reached, and then a region, and then a nation.
Why this belongs in a business journal
This is the Journal for Christian business owners, so here is the honest connection. The Lions Den Alliance exists to build excellent businesses that fund frontline Gospel work. Daniel & Katie's ministry is that frontline.
When an Alliance member gives, the money does not vanish into an abstraction. It keeps trained, sent believers on real streets in real cities, praying with real people by name — and it equips the next hundred groups to do the same.
You may never preach on a corner. But Scripture says the one who stands behind the worker shares in the work. Not watching. Not admiring from a distance. Working together.
We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.
3 John 1:8
Three ways to stand with them
Pray
Pray for open hearts, bold believers, transformed cities, and a fresh move of God across Canada.
Train
Invite Daniel & Katie to activate your church — or your team — with practical, biblical evangelism training.
Partner
Sow into frontline evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and Kingdom initiatives with lasting fruit.
For business owners, specifically
- Make it monthly. Recurring support lets a ministry plan instead of scramble — the same reason you value recurring revenue in your own company.
- Build it into the model. Decide a percentage of profit before the quarter starts, and name exactly where it goes.
- Bring your team. Invite Daniel & Katie to train your staff or small group; nothing changes a workplace like people who have actually shared their faith.
- Lend your platform. Your customers and network are an audience a ministry cannot buy. Share the mission with them.
- Pray by name. Put Daniel, Katie, and the Hamilton outreach teams on your own list. The people you pray for become the work you care about.
